Animal Communication

Thank you so much for helping to make our Botswana trip so enjoyable. You certainly have given us insight and a new perspective on the relationship between humans and animals. Certainly, the more we understand our relationship with them and our ability to communicate with them, the more we can help each other. If we all could just stand back and watch, listen and try harder to be more in tune with the world around us, the more we would appreciate the smallest details, sounds, beings, nature… just appreciating all God has given us in this world.

I like the fact that the workshop was two full days – created enough and repeated practice, which leads to confidence. Your explanations are clear and to the point; pragmatic as well. A very, very big thank you to you for coming to see us and for your wonderful feedback on my two boys. My cat is a different child!!!! He is far more relaxed, friendly and quite content to come indoors at night of his own accord about 8pm. I have not seen him spray anywhere in the house NOR in the garage like he was doing before your consultation. I have given him plenty of opportunities to be in the garage and he just walks around sniffing everything and then walks out again. I cannot believe the change.

Daisy, our English Bull Terrier, is an exuberant (ADD some would say), joyous and unruly creature. She was never properly house trained as I decided to adopt a non-violent approach to training with her (not even the littlest spank). Daisy has always had a big thirst and small bladder and as a result, was inclined to have “accidents” in the house in the evenings (we keep our doors locked after dark). I soon figured out that if I took her outside to pee every hour, we could avoid the accidents. As she was usually busting for a pee by the time we went into the garden, she would immediately relieve herself and I could praise her and thus modify her behaviour.
Over the years, I stretched the time to two hours and then to three and each time we went outside she would pee on demand. Until the day – and I mean the exact day – of her fourth birthday. On 1st July this year, Daisy refused to pee when I took her outside. I tried leaving her in the kitchen alone (her worst) and then taking her out a bit later. No matter how long I left her, she would not pee when we went onto the grass. This carried on for about four days until one evening, a “thought” popped into my head. “Trust me”, said the thought. “I’m a big girl now. I’ll let you know when I need to go outside”.
Although I have done two of Anna’s courses and often do experience clear communication from animals, I don’t always trust myself. Am I getting the right message? Is that dog really talking to me? What if it’s just my imagination? This time was different. I knew absolutely and completely that the message was from Daisy. I have been trusting her (albeit with trepidation) and so far, so good! The lesson for me, I guess, is to stop doubting myself and keep a completely open mind when it comes to animals sharing their thoughts with me. They are so much more in touch with the moment than the human species.
